Joel Corry’s “Sorry” has broken a new record by being the most Shazammed track in one day in the UK ever!
After taking the clubs by storm throughout 2019 so far, Joel Corry’s ‘Sorry’ – a booming, peaktime flip of Monsta Boy’s UK Garage classic and debut single with Perfect Havoc via Asylum Records – is really starting to move.
Originally released in April, ‘Sorry’ has bubbled under for the last few months and been a standout track in Joel’s sets across Zante, Malia, Kavos, Ayia Napa, Magaluf and Ibiza, where he holds numerous residencies. Now boasting the largest ever amount of UK Shazam tags in 24 hours ever recorded (over 41,000!) after being synched on ITV 2’s Love Island and being named Scott Mills’ Track of the Week on BBC R1, ‘Sorry’ continues to grow week on week, amassing over 10 million global streams so far, and looks set to end the summer as one of this year’s biggest dance hits.
Joel Corry has officially entered the Top 40 Charts with his single ‘Sorry’ at #38, (up from 54)
‘Sorry’ was originally released as a garage track back in 1998 by Monstaboy ft. Denzie.
“UK Garage played a huge role in my development as a DJ and a producer. I grew up during the peak of the Garage era, and will always feel a strong connection to the genre. Monsta Boy’s ‘I’m Sorry’ is an anthem, and one of my personal favourite Garage records. I’m really excited to put my own spin on this timeless classic, ready for summer 2019” – Joel Corry
Perfect Havoc welcomes back Après with his brand new single ‘Secrets’ featuring vocals from UK Bristol singer ‘Rothwell’. Four years after delving into the realms of house music, Après has proved himself to be a household name in the club and radio world. The new single, Secrets, adds to his string of 2019 releases and sees his second under the Perfect Havoc label following ‘Give It Up’ which saw support from Jordan North on BBC Radio 1 Dance Anthems last December and over 300,000 streams on Spotify.
His debut release in January 2015, ‘Chicago’ was first premiered by Annie Mac on BBC Radio 1 and subsequently given away for free as part of her ‘Free Music Monday’ campaign. Following a succession of support, the track was given a full release on record label, SubSoul and went on to achieve millions of streams on Spotify, Youtube & other streaming services in addition to being included on multiple, high profile compilation albums.
Since his first success, Après has released original tracks on Nothing Else Matters, Get Twisted, SubSoul, Fly Boy Records, and Toolroom Records, as well as official remixes for artists like Roger Sanchez, Eli & Fur, Snakehips & many more.
