We are excited to announce our next release on Perfect Havoc from London / Swedish duo 'PJU' formerly known as Punks Jump Up titled 'Coming Back' featuring Brooklyn based singer 'Javi'PJU formed in London during the mid 00’s sharing a mutual love for dance music, cutting edge culture & style. They organised their own parties and DJ’d all around London before setting up their first vinyl only label, ‘Cassette Records’ and released a handful of 12”s, one being their debut 12” “Be You (Beep Beep)”. It received great reactions from BBC Radio 1 DJs like Annie Mac & Chris Coco and was played by artists like Andy Weatherall & James Murphy (LCD Soundsystem).After this, things took up quickly and since then PJU have released club smashes like “Say You Love Me” feat River (Which has over 135,000 plays on Soundcloud and was supported & released by The Vibe Guide label) “Give It To Me” feat. Josh Caffe & (Chicago House legend) Robert Owens, “Mr Overtime feat Dave1” (Chromeo), which was supported by Nick Grimshaw in late 2012, “Blockhead” (supported by 2 Many DJ’s all throughout their “Under The Covers Tour”) & “Dance To Our Disco” on labels like Exploited, Perfect Havoc, Kitsune & Moda. Radio support includes Annie Mac (BBC Radio 1), Lauren Laverne (BBC Radio 6), Swedish P3, German, Belgian, Polish, Spanish national radio to name a few.As PJU made a name for themselves during the era when Indie and dance music were all the rage they made official remixes of everyone from Bryan Ferry, Kent (PJU remix of “Vy Från Ett Luftslott” went number 1 in Swedish radio & sales chart), Miike Snow (1 million + plays on YouTube and official theme tune to UK comedy show Friday Night Dinner!), Jamaica, Oliver, Two Door Cinema Club, Lykke Li, Gossip, Robyn, Crystal Castles, Chromeo, Tiga to Joakim.The last few years their style has turned to a more House orientated sound, which has been hugely successful on the underground scene. Their co-lab with London based producer Earl Grey was released by Berlin based label Exploited and supported by Laurent Garnier, Busy P & Annie Mac to name just a few. Their track “Give It To Me” had massive worldwide support in 2015 by a lot of legendary DJs like Terry Farley (Junior Boys Own) & Sasha to current big names like Claptone & Oliver Heldens, plus support from Apple Music, who placed the track as their “Best of 2015” playlist along with two spins from Annie Mac, whilst also hitting Top 10 in the Traxsource house chart.In 2015 PJU launched their own label Muzik Box which has of date released 8 EPs by artists like Monday Club, Dan Solo & Future Feelings, Monkeycat (aka Mason), Alex Mallios and more.During all this time Punks Jump Up have also been touring heavily & going to pretty much every country in Europe & also USA, Chile, Brazil, Mexico, Australia, China, Singapore & Jakarta including lots of tours for the Kitsune label out of Paris.Coming Back Feat.
